Explore the Beauty & Wilderness of Bannau Brycheiniog With a Full Day Brecon Beacons Tour
Bannau Brycheiniog (Brecon Beacons) National Park is the 2nd largest National Park in Wales. Stretching from Abergavenny in the East, to Llandeilo in the West. From Merthyr Tydfil at the top of the South Wales Valleys to the town of Brecon, it is nearly 520 square miles of wilderness, mountains and stunning countryside, you can experience much of the area during our Brecon Beacons Tour.
Your driver for your tour of the National Park will meet you at your hotel at around 9:30am. Leaving Cardiff you will be driven north through the Rhondda Valley. This part of Wales has a rich coal mining history, and you will be driven up through the former coal mining communities in the valley, and up over the top of The Rhigos Mountain at the top of the valley.

The tour stops briefly on top of the Mountain where you will have stunning views across the Brecon Beacons National Park themselves.

Departing the visitor centre, you will discover more of the national park, as you begin your journey back to Cardiff. Along the way, your driver will take you to some more viewpoints, with exceptional views, and you driver will stop as and when you want to allow you to take in the views and take pictures for a real lasting memory..
You will then arrive back at your hotel 5:30-6:00pm that evening at the end of your scenic Wales tour
Additional Information
- This tour is a chauffeur driven sightseeing tour for up to 6 people.
- The majority of the day will be spent in the car, with the only significant stops being around an hour at Henrhyd Falls and around an hour at Bannau Brycheiniog Visitor Centre
- Whilst you will be taken to various viewing points with the option to take photos, your driver will also stop on request so long as it is safe and legal to do so
- Large parts of Bannau Brycheiniog are wildnerss, often with significant distances between available bathrooms. As such this tour may not be suitable for anyone who requires frequent bathroom stops
- Due to the size of the national park it is not possible to cover the whole park in one day.
- The weather in Bannau Brycheiniog is changeable, and can differ significantly from Cardiff.
- If you wish, you are welcome to bring food to eat in the car on this tour.
- This tour can start / finish anywhere in South Wales, but additional fee’s may be payable if starting / finishing outside Cardiff
